Step 1 - Install Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.x. If you have already installed this, go to step 2. (MSIE 5.x is needed for certain functionality of RTS products).

Step 2 - (Important note: If you are currently using PAWS Studio 1.6.x and are now installing PAWS Studio 1.10.x or higher, you should uninstall PAWS Studio 1.6.x before installing version 1.10.x or higher). Install PAWS Developer's Studio. To install PAWS Developer's Studio Software, run setup.exe from the cd. When prompted, click on the "Next" button. This will bring you to the following screen:

To install PAWS Developer's Studio, click the first icon. Follow the instructions as they appear on the screen.

Step 3 - Install Java Runtime Environment (JRE) 1.1.x
(Note - this step is required only if you bought TYX Product 9505 Test Diagram Generator or TYX Product 9507 Rapid Parameter Changer).

On the cd, navigate to the folder jre
Run the exe file. Follow the instructions as they appear on the screen.

JRE is also available from
http://java.sun.com/products/jdk/1.1/jre/index.html

After downloading and installing, the path must be modified to include javai.dll.

Javai.dll is found in
C:\Program Files\javasoft\jre\1.1\bin

Step 4 - Install Adobe Acrobat Reader
(Note - this step is required only if you bought TYX Product 9504 Flowcharter).

Product 9504 Flowcharter requires Adobe Acrobat Reader for viewing the flowcharts. If the viewer is not already installed, please download it from
http://www.adobe.com and install it.
