Step 1 - (Note: If you have installed license manager and entered keys previously, you should not have to do it again). To install License Manager:

1. Run lmhostid.exe using a dos prompt -

<usr>\tyx\bin\lmhostid

This will give you the hostid for the pc. (NOTE - you must run this from a dos prompt. "Double- clicking" on lmhostid.exe will not show the host id).

2. Provide TYX Support your lmhostid. For example:

- TYX Support can be reached at (800) 321-PAWS by phone or support@tyx.com by e-mail.

3. TYX Support will provide you with a license file - for example: 2000999.lic

Create the folder 'licenses' in <usr>\tyx\

Copy the .lic file to <usr>\tyx\licenses on the pc

4. Open an explorer, run <usr>\tyx\bin\LicMgrCfg.exe

- In the License Path cell, specify the path <usr>\tyx\licenses

- click ok.

Note - it's ok for the "FlexLM Server" cell to be blank.

Step 2 - (Note: If you have already installed MSIE 5.x, go to step 3). Install Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.x (MSIE 5.x is needed for certain functionality of RTS products).

Step 3 - (Note: If you have installed this previously, you should not have to do it again). Install Java Run Time Environment, version 1.2.2_007 or higher.

jre 1.2.2 is available from the Sun website. It can also be installed from the cd. Navigate to the folder 'jre'. Run the exe file.

Step 4 - Install PAWS Developer's Studio. To install PAWS Developer's Studio Software, run setup.exe from the cd. Follow the instructions as they appear on the screen. YOU MUST CHOOSE TYPICAL install. This will do a full installation of Studio.

Step 5 - Open PAWS Studio
