1. Install PAWS Studio.
- From the PAWS Studio cd, run setup.exe
- Click next, a window with a button will appear. Click the button (PAWS Studio). Follow the instructions as they appear on the screen. YOU MUST CHOOSE TYPICAL install. This will do a full installation of Studio.

2. Run lmhostid.exe using a dos prompt -
<usr>\tyx\Flexlm\lmhostid
This will give you the hostid for the pc. (NOTE - you must run this from a dos prompt. "Double- clicking" on lmhostid.exe will not show the host id).

3. Provide TYX Support your lmhostid. For example:

- TYX Support can be reached at (800) 321-PAWS by phone or support@tyx.com by e-mail.

4. TYX Support will provide you with a license file - for example: 2000999.lic
Create the folder 'licenses' in <usr>\tyx\
Copy the .lic file to <usr>\tyx\licenses on the pc

5. Open an explorer, run <usr>\tyx\bin\LicMgrCfg.exe
- In the License Path cell, specify the path <usr>\tyx\licenses
- click ok.
Note - it's ok for the "FlexLM Server" cell to be blank.

6. Open PAWS Studio
