Narayanan Ramachandran Elected Chair of IEEE SCC 20

TYX is pleased to report that Mr. Narayanan Ramachandran, one of the founders of TYX, has recently been elected Chair of the Standards Co-ordinating Committee (SCC) 20 of the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers. SCC20 manages a number of Standards related to "System Test" of complex, safety-critical units. Narayanan has been an active member of SCC20 for many years, and he says he is gratified that his colleagues felt he was worthy of the role. His goal in the coming year is to refocus SCC20 on the primary Standards it maintains and to push out the publication of the next issue of the ATLAS Standard.

... Narayanan was also appointed as Co-convener of the IEC (International Electro Technical Commission) TC 93 WG 7. TC 93 is the Design Automation group, and Working Group 7 relates to Standards for System Test. Narayanan sees an opportunity to meld the work of the IEEE and the IEC in this regard as well as to bring the work of the IVI Foundation (an Industry consortium for next generation Standards) Signal Interface Group to the IEEE and IEC forums.
