In February of 1996, TYX Corporation announced the Compliance of their PAWS Toolset with the emerging A Broad Based Environment for Test (ABBET) initiatives for Standardization - being promulgated by the IEEE Standards Coordinating Committee (SCC) 20. SCC20 has long been the developer and maintainer of the ATLAS Test Specification Language. It has lately focused on the definition of Data Interchange Standards between the Design and Test Worlds. As shown in the below diagram, TYX and their partners, Detex Systems, Inc. of Orange, CA, cover the broad spectrum of ABBET Standards through their COTS offerings, ExPress, STAT, SPIFI, and PAWS. These Powerful tools allow the user to automate the generation of a Test Strategy right from the Designer's Databases to the generation of Test Specifications in ATLAS, and lastly, to the execution of these Tests on the user's chosen ATE Platform. In addition, the TYX offerings also dovetail nicely with the Commercial VPP Specifications from the VXI Plug & Play Consortium.
All along the way, COTS tools are integrated into the process as shown in the diagram.
