Self-Test

Self-Test is used to verify the functional operation of the test system resources at the test interface. This is done with a Self-Test Interface Test Adapter (ITA) and the associated test software. The Self-Test ITA is designed to loop stimulus instruments to measurement instruments through switches or other paths in order to automatically verify the correct operation of the resources. AC and DC Power supplies typically have nominal loads mounted in the Self-Test ITA to verify the coarse operation of the supplies. Each instrument with Built-In-Test (BIT) capability will be commanded to execute the BIT/BITE function to verify the resource has no detectable internal fault states.

Our software and integration engineers are experts in developing and executing self-test operations and programs. Should you have any questions, or if you’d like to discuss your requirements for self-test, please contact us.
