Release Notes

Paws Developer's Studio
Version 1.34.0
23 March 2006

1.1 Critical Items

1.2 Known Limitations

1.3 Enhancements

1.3.1 New Toolbar buttons for Build\Rebuild Module

Paws developer studio displays two new buttons for build and rebuild of module. The build or rebuild would occur based on the selection in the Paws Project Tree.

Note: An item in the Paws Project Tree is always selected.

If a child leaf node is selected on the tree (this would be in the case a file is selected, atlas, ddb, sdb, ita, cpp etc), then clicking the Build\Rebuild button would build/rebuild the parent module for that item.

This feature provides the ability of building a database module using one single toolbar button click. It compensates for what the Compile toolbar button used to do for the database modules without having its inconsistencies.

1.3.2 Controlling the "too many errors" number of the ATLAS compiling tools before they stop

If the user provides "w" followed by a number in the Other Options edit control of any Paws Studio configuration property page, the current ATLAS tool will stop after that particular number of errors is encountered. If no such option is specified, all TYX ATLAS compiling tools stop after they identify 100 errors.

The ATLAS compiling tools that recognize this option follow:

  • ATLAS compiler;
  • ATLAS flow analyzer;
  • Device DB compiler;
  • Switch DB compiler;
  • ITA DB compiler;
  • ATLAS allocator;
  • Wirelist generator.

This feature is not active for the CEM compilers or linker.
