Release Notes

Developer's Studio Run Time System
Version 1.34.1
20 April 2006

1.1 Critical Items

1.2 Known Limitations

1.2.1 Browser problems or Paws RTS crash noticed if Microsoft Office 2003 is installed

We noticed that both RtsIO.HtmlResource and DataLogger.HtmlDlogGui COM objects show unexpected problems if they instantiate the new Internet Explorer Browser which is part of Microsoft Office 2003. Although TYX has done research to minimize the impact, our improvements in limiting our interference with the standard Internet Explorer Browser are not completely successful.

None of these problems are experienced with the previous Microsoft browsers. Moreover, even with Microsoft Office 2003 installed, none of these problems are experienced if the Paws RTS is configured to avoid using these COM components.

We continue to investigate this issue.

1.3 Enhancements

1.4 Problem Reports

1.4.1 PR05017 Multichannel CEM supported by the Paws RTS

A multichannel CEM is referenced in the busconfi file from two or more bus definition lines. Although this approach does not bring any valuable capabilities, it used to be partially functional with our very first Paws RTSs. Then, for a long while, TYX had dropped the idea of supporting this scheme. However, some customers have already used this design so TYX had to reconsider it. Starting with this release, Paws RTS has been improved to support this design as best as possible for backward compatibilities reasons.

1.4.2 PR06020 TAB key used as navigation tool in the DataLogger GUI html forms

This feature allows a user to fully control the datalogger GUI input forms from the keyboard, without using the mouse. To support this, we adjust the default html forms present in <usr>\tyx\datalog. All our customers are welcome to customize these anytime.
