1.1 Critical Items
1.1.1 The RTS Management of Datalogger Recorder and Input-Output Resources Changed
This fundamental change affects all the input-output resources, datalogger recorder and datalogger GUI. This new
approach improves the reliability of our RTS in connection with software that might be developed by developers outside of TYX Corporation.
There are no known backward compatibility issues triggered by this change so far. We encourage our customers to report any such behavioral
changes if noticed.
1.2 Known Limitations
1.3 Enhancements
1.4 Problem Reports
1.4.1 PR06033 Formatted Digital Output Incompatible With the Legacy RTS (85-Based Subsets Only)
When a digital variable is formatted and output to an output resource, its content is always fit in the maximum
number of digits specified in the formatting information. If this is not possible, the output field is filled up with stars. If the
digital variable representation exceeds the available output digit fields, the RTS truncates its most significant zeros until it fits in
the available output fields. The old RTS used to always show stars in this circumstance.
The actual RTS still shows stars if there are not enough significant zeros to truncate in order to make it fit in the
available output digit fields.
