1.3.1 TdgViewer as an OLE Server
The Test Diagram Viewer has now the functionality of an OLE server. Therefore any document generated with Rtdg (*.tdd) can be embedded in any application that is an OLE container (such as Winword).
1.3.2 Visio exporter
A new feature of Rtdg is the capability to export the diagrams to Visio drawing format. By choosing File > Export > Visio, the application automatically generates the corresponding Visio drawing file (*.vsd) for the current diagram. The user is prompted to select the location and the name of the drawing file (by default the same as the diagram file’s name).
A predefined template and stencil are used in generating the Visio drawing. The template file (Rtdg.vst) and the stencil file (AteShapes.vss) are located in <usr>\tyx\rtdg. The template and the stencil can be customized.
1.3.3 Requirements
The Visio exporter was developed and tested using Visio 2000 SR1.
